Service outside the congregation:

Currently I serve as the first vice-president of the Iowa District East. I am also Chairman of the district Board of Directors.   In past years I have served as a reconciler in the Iowa District East, a doctrinal reviewer for the LC-MS, 2nd vice-president of the IDE and the secretary of the district for a term.  Over the years I've been on a number of other district boards and committees.

Other Interests:

My wife, Dana, and I have been blessed with 7 children; 5 daughters and 2 sons.  When not working in the parish I enjoy bow hunting in the fall, wood working, tending my small farm outside of town, or boating with my children.

I have been greatly blessed to serve in Hubbard since 1994. The community of Hubbard has been a great place to raise children, and the members of St. John have been my extended family and a source of constant joy. As the Psalmist once wrote, “The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places.” I am forever thankful to my Lord for having called me to serve in such a warm community of faith.
