In July 2019, Pastor Rueger led a group of 16 church members and youth group from St. John to Juneau, AK to assist former St. John vicar (now pastor) Aaron Spratt with repair work to a local LCMS church. The members painted, administered repair work to the bell tower, constructed a railing in the sanctuary, and helped rebuild the church kitchen.

 

On their time off, they went on hiking trails, rode a cable car tour, relaxed at a park on the bay, and visited popular Juneau tourist spots. View these images below:
